Challenge Adventures staff have the qualifications to plan a custom adventure trip for youth who have special needs, such as children in foster care, youth who have been sexually or physically abused, children with learning or behavioral difficulties, ADHD, etc. Our staff will work with the staff of a sponsoring organization to meet the behavioral and other personal goals of participants. Youth participants are mutually screened ahead of time to assure that the adventure will be challenging enough to prompt their growth but not too much to be overwhelming. Whenever possible, our staff will meet with the group ahead of time for an orientation. Staff from the sponsoring organization will accompany the campers to provide case continuity. Challenge Adventures can provide additional therapeutic services and consultation upon request.

Funding: We recognize that government and other funding is not usually available to support beneficial experiences like a wilderness trip for vulnerable youth. Therefore, our staff will work with sponsoring community organizations to seek grants and other sources of funding so the youth you serve can benefit. Please call us to discuss your needs and ideas.
